VOICE-OVER (CAROL): There was, uh, a very eye-opening moment. My daughter, one of her school projects was to write a letter to Santa. So her letter was, um, you know it stated like, “I just want my mom to not be in pain anymore. She’s been hurting for so long and I just don’t want her to feel pain anymore.”
It’s kind of a shocking moment when you realize that you’ve hurt, or your family is hurting for you. And you’re trying to protect them from it, but and but they know. That was just one of those moments where, um, gosh you know, I want, I want to get better. I don’t wanna be in this place where not only am I worrying every morning, but...but my children and my family are worried about me.
