Some patients who have taken Enbrel® (etanercept), Remicade® (infliximab) or HUMIRA™ (adalimumab) have developed serious infections, some of which were fatal. Many of these infections occurred in people who were taking one of these anti-TNF agents along with another medication that affected their immune system, which may have increased their risk for infections or in patients who were prone to infections. Cases of tuberculosis also have been reported among patients who received these anti-TNF agents. Patients should be tested for inactive tuberculosis infection as well
